MOBIAN offers a variety of parking possibilities near Amstelveenseweg which can be reserved online. Check the availability and prices via the MOBIAN booking tool, located on this page.
If you're going to take the metro, parking is cheap all day. There are two properties, one right beside the train (Zeeburg I) and the other across the street (Zeeburg II). The journey into town is short, so even if you're standing, it's not going to be wrong. There is no staff at Lot 2, and the staff at Lot 1 will not be there after hours.
Get a Good Rate
You can choose a P+R GVB token at the kiosk. You've got to get it within 1 hour of parking. Before you get on the ride, use the same card to get back to the house. If you don't use that card to get back to your vehicle, you will not get a lower cost. The kiosk will verify your last verify-in, which will be in the area. If you pause on the way back to your car outside the area, you're not going to get the offer.
Pay Within 1 Hour of Returning
It can be a little confusing, but if you obey the instructions above, you won't spend more than 8 euro a day, maybe less.
Parking costs 8 euros per 24 hours, which is great for parking in Amsterdam. The problem is that there are only so many spots available for this discounted car park. If you want to wait, you will probably be issued tickets to the bus/tram/train to bring you to your destination in the south.
